Inspection of New Ambulance 5516

  • March 12, 2019
  • Announcements

In late February, Asst Chief Bellissimo And Captain Kelly travelled to the AEV factory in Jefferson, North Carolina to inspect new Ambulance 5516 in preparation for it being shipped up to New York for final fitting of equipment and lettering prior to acceptance by the Department.

We anticipate 5516 to be in service by mid to late March, and this will augment Ambulance 5526 which has been doing  yeoman duty since the previous 5516 became mechanically no longer fit for service last year. Oyster Bay Fire Department continuously strives to provide high quality emergency medical care to the residents of our District through the use of cutting edge technology and the latest training of our EMS staff in Emergency Medicine.
