Overview

The Oyster Bay Fire Department is a volunteer fire company comprised of over 80 active members. Organized in April 1888, we have been serving the people of Oyster Bay, Oyster Bay Cove, Cove Neck, parts of Mill Neck and Laurel Hollow continuously since.

Our Headquarters is located at 188 South Street. We house two engines, one tower ladder, two ambulances, and two utility vehicles. We respond to approximately 900 calls per year of both fire and EMS. Our members continuously maintain a high degree of readiness through hands-on training and continuing education. We support the Community by participating in the Annual St. Rocco Feast, the Annual Oyster Fest, the Annual Health Fair, Santa Ride & Food Drive, and many other activities.

Our Mission is to provide high quality fire protection and EMS services to those in our Fire District, to respond as quickly and efficiently as possible to all calls for assistance, to constantly train and educate ourselves in our chosen field, and to help educate the community in protecting itself.

We work together with the Atlantic Steamer Fire Co. in protecting our community, and with other Fire Departments in Mutual Aid to each other. You may rely on us twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty five days a year.
