On Friday Sept 7 at 1410 hours, OBFD responded to an automatic alarm at 26 Tennis Court Road in Cove Neck.  Arriving Chiefs 5500, 5501,and 5504 did a cursory outer perimeter inspection, and 5500 and 5504 discovered a heavy smoke condition in the indoor pool area on the 3 (North) side. Entry was forced on the 2 side and a fire was discovered in a pool pump inside a utility room. Engine 558 stretched a standby line, and the fire was extinguished with a portable fire extinguisher. This extremely large home was then effectively ventilated and all units were secured. EMS Captain Tracy Kelly crewing 558, was able to pick some flowers thanks to the unreasonably narrow driveway 558 had to negotiate.
